Fertility coaching is a specialisation under the umbrella of health coaching. I’m certified as an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach and graduated with the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. I’ve had a natural interest in the area of hormone health as a result of my own personal journey with extreme mood swings and being challenged with painful and irregular cycle.
Through this journey working with client with hormonal imbalances and along the way helped many start their own families, I started to specialise in fertility coaching.
My clients know all the things they could be doing to improve their hormones but the doing is the hard part and that’s where coaching fits in.
According to the Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine which states:
Health coaching is the evidence based application of questioning, conversational and goal setting skills to assist patients to make sustainable health behaviour change consistent with their own values and personal strengths.
It seeks to empower patients to locate their own unique motivating forces to respond to the health challenges specific to them.
Health coaching approaches can be taught and integrated into routine medical and health consultations and provide both patients and health care providers with skills to identify and secure lasting behavioural change and to respond effectively to uncertainty and ambivalence about change.
In short, health coaches are expert facilitators of mindset and behaviour change that generates sustainable healthy lifestyles to prevent and treat disease and foster well-being and thriving.
A Fertility Coach is different from a medical practitioner, Naturopath, Dietitian or Nutritionist because coaching services are not intended to diagnose, treat or cure any diseases.
I use a holistic approach incorporating the importance of the mind-body connection, helping ambitious women on how to safeguard and optimise their fertility.
